Join RAMP (Real Art Make Print) and Arts University Plymouth fashion design student Jo Rudnicka for a unique and sustainable crafting experience at “Making Denim Jewellery” workshop!
Are you ready to transform your old jeans into stunning accessories? Discover the art of upcycling and recycling denim into fashionable earrings, necklaces, and bracelets using simple jewelry and sewing hand tools.
This workshop will guide you through various denim embellishment techniques, including creating denim flowers, loops, folds, rolls, fringes, and even incorporating zip shapes into your designs.
By participating, you not only learn a new skill but also contribute to environmental sustainability by giving new life to old denim.
Course details:
Date & Time: Saturday, 18th May; 10am – 12pm.
Cost: £8 (plus fees)
Materials: Some will be provided, but feel free to bring any of: old jeans, stretch soft fabric, lace, ribbon, strings of different thicknesses, twine, threads, thick threads for jeans, elastic, pieces of leather, buttons, beads, shells.
Age: from 12 years old (must be supervised if underaged)
