Venue: Real Art Make Print at Ocean Studios

Description

Learn how to add analogue textures and fonts to your digital art using vintage letterpress typefaces and materials.

During this one-day workshop, learn how to add beautiful analogue textures and unusual fonts to your digital art using vintage letterpress typefaces and materials.

Workshop Overview:

  • Morning: You will take your art to the next level when you learn to create various mark-making techniques on our authentic vintage printing presses.
  • Afternoon: Dive into the digital world and learn how to scan, process, and use printed marks and textures in design software such as Adobe Photoshop.

Learning to capture the charm of physical print in your digital work is a great way to tie together your online presence with your physical artwork. And receive a digital folder full of textures and advice as a bonus.

Join RAMP’s (Real Art Make Print) letterpress lead Alan Qualtrough and digital expert and ‘texture nerd’ Tim Saunders of Bracken Design for a brilliant interdisciplinary workshop on how to merge new and old technologies.

The last workshop was fun, but don’t take our word for it; this is what one artist said:

“The workshop inspired me with ideas about bringing my fine art practice closer to printmaking. I never thought this would be possible!”

Date: Saturday, March 16. Cost: £90 (plus fees, excl.VAT), including materials.
