Rame Conservation Trust
Business planning for historic fort
The brief
Redoubt 4, Glenville Battery, is a historic military fortification on the Rame Peninsular in Cornwall, managed by the Rame Conservation Trust. Working with local architects, we were asked to produce a feasibility business plan for future restoration and usage options of the fort. The restoration and development planning were funded by the Heritage Lottery.
What we did
To support the Trust move to a sustainable option we undertook:
- Analysis of existing data sets, visitor feedback, and market analysis
- Structured interviews with stakeholders, customers, sector experts, staff, and volunteers
- Business plan covering appraisal of design options, including future impact, and recommended option
- Budget projections for recommended design options
So far…

Final business plan due in December 23.
