Business planning and impact development
The brief
Kidz R Us are an award-winning children’s theatre company, who own and operate the St Ives Theatre, in Cornwall. They commissioned us to help them understand a sustainable and impactful operating plan, following refurbishment of the theatre and successful application to the St Ives Town Fund.
We were asked to produce a business plan and investment strategy.
Our approach
We completed and produced the following to support the charity’s business and impact needs :
- Impact analysis and insight workshops with stakeholders, trustees, customers and young people
- Production of impact framework and monitoring approach
- Full business plan including product development and delivery plan
- Operational, governance, and staffing structure
- 5-year projection budget for café and theatre
- Funding strategy, exploring other potential funding streams to support their activity and development.
Outcomes
- Our work was completed in April 2023
- Refurbishment of the theatre is underway, due for completion in early 2024
- The theatre have appointment an Assistant Theatre Manager as recommended
